“What Would You Do?”

Well, I watched it. (And you can too on Hulu — “What Would You Do?”)

On last night’s episode of “What Would You Do?” ABC staged a scene of a breastfeeding mother in a cafe and a rude cafe manager telling her to stop or get out.  They staged the scene with a white mother, a black mother, and a teen mother.  All three had people come to her defense and support her right to breastfeed in public.

I’m very pleased by the responses, and it gives me hope that if I were in a similar situation, someone would help me.  It also made it clear to me that if I see an injustice like this, it is my duty — as a Christian — to stand up and set it right.

This show is interesting. I saw it for the first time last night. It was a staged 1st date. While the actress was in the bathroom, the actor slipped her a mickey. The cameras waited for someone to step up. In almost all of the footage, no one did anything. Finally, a man said something but his wife told him to be quiet.
He made a good point after he was told it was all staged. He said something along the lines of, There’s something wrong with America when people can’t rely on other people to help them.
Well, the same could be said about Christians. If we never step up and take the initiative to be the “light” in this dark world, then those in the dark will never know the truth.
